About Commercial Tire

In 1968 Bob Schwenkfelder started a tire store that would grow to be one of the largest tire and service companies in the Northwest. Well, that first tire store was indeed this location on State Street. This 5-bay location is designed to help service all of your retail automotive service needs. Businesses within walking distance include the YMCA, Subway, and Fanci Freez — among many other downtown destinations. We understand that the community supports us, so we like to support our community through various partnerships. Although the company has grown, the vision has remained the same — focus on working hard, meeting the wide-ranging needs of our customers, and employing people you can trust. This remains the vision, especially now that we’re 100% employee owned.

The workers are very knowledgeable to work on my 1995 Chevy S10 4.3L V6 engine. It is sometimes hard to find people with the ability or desire to work on older vehicles! They treat you like a friend of their family and just want you to have a good experience and get your vehicle in the best driving condition as possible. An honest mechanic makes all the difference! Having an unreliable vehicle is a scary thing and it’s nice to know I can depend on Commercial tires workers to be honest with me!

I love the team at Commercial on State and feel grateful to take my car there regularly. Tim and the rest of the gang are helpful, personable, capable and informative. I do my tire changes, oil and other basic car maintenance with them. Nice to have the help and professionalism so close by!
