TRUCK CASING FROM PICK UP TO DELIVERY:

Your tire casing is assigned a unique barcode so it can be tracked during the whole manufacturing process. You can request a permanent barcode be assigned so your casings are tracked throughout the entire life cycle. Plus, our exclusive T-Bank Reporting tracks tires by dealer locations so your finished goods inventory is always accurate and easy for you to manage.

INITIAL INSPECTION

First, your casings are thoroughly inspected from bead to bead to ensure they meet our high retreading standards. Repairs are made using strong, flexible Bandag repair materials. 

INITIAL INSPECTION (7400 Shearography):

An inspection to determine the conditions within the casing. The casing is subjected to a vacuum while lasers measure surface anomalies (ie: expanding pockets of air) to determine if the tire can be retreaded 

BUFFING:

The casing is inflated to operational pressure. The process removes the worn tread surface, trues up the casing and prepares the surface for a new tread. 

REPAIRING:

Removes all injuries identified during initial inspection and replace the material with structurally sound materials that will return the casing to a useful life.

BUILDING:

Automatically applies a new tread so it is straight, centered on the casing, and the end splices match.

ENVELOPING:

Encasing the uncured, built tire in an envelope in preparation for curing.

CURING:

An autoclave-type device that applies heat and pressure, and, over time, causes the bonding layer in the built tire to cure; permanently adhering the new tread to the prepared casing.

FINAL INSPECTION:

Every Bandag retread we produce is thoroughly inspected before it leaves our shop. The last place we want to discover a tire problem is after the tire is back in service. We are sure you would agree.

FAST TRANSMISSION OF INFORMATION:

Through Data Channel, an electronic connection between Bandag and dealers - National Account and outsourcing transactions can be transmitted more quickly, which also provides more timely billing for you.
